tiger press release logo

Cowley College Theatre Department and Act One Drama Club invite the public to experience their bold and timely spring production, John Proctor is the Villain by Kimberly Belflower, directed by Emily Rose Parman. Performances will take place May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at 7:30 p.m. in the Robert Brown Theatre. Please note there will be no matinee performances for this production, and seating is limited.

Presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, John Proctor is the Villain is a powerful new work that blends humor, heartbreak, and high school drama. Set in a one-stoplight town in Georgia, a group of students studying Arthur Miller’s The Crucible begin to question the narrative they’ve been handed—and who gets to decide what’s heroic. With pop music and a sharp Gen Z lens, this play explores truth, trauma, and the power of young voices demanding to be heard.
