Student of the Month

Cowley College is proud to announce Ariana Peterson, a dedicated and high-achieving
                                 student, as the October Student of the Month. A Pre-Veterinary Medicine major from
                                 Lincoln, Nebraska, Peterson maintains an impressive 4.0 GPA while actively contributing
                                 to campus life through academics, athletics, leadership, and service.
Along with her academic success, Peterson is a member of Cowley cheer and dance, Impact, the Math and Science Club, and serves as President of Phi Theta Kappa. She is also a proud Cowley Student Ambassador and has represented the college by participating in the Old Settlers Day and Arkalalah parades.
Following graduation from Cowley College, Peterson plans to transfer to a four-year university to complete her bachelor’s degree before pursuing veterinary school to earn her professional degree.

Nomination Criteria
Take time to NOMINATE an outstanding student now! Nominations must be received by the 5th of the month. To be considered, the student must meet the following criteria:
- Must have established a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on 31 or more credit hours.
- Must be enrolled full time.
- Must be an outstanding citizen.
The submission form will request the following information:
- Nominee name
- Nominator name and email
- Why it is believed that the student is a good candidate for student of the month
- How the student serves as a role model for others
- List of activities outside the classroom
- List of honors and awards
- Other comments can be provided but are not required
