Solve puzzles, crack codes, build, create, and compete for cash prizes! Top teams earn 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes; one graduating senior will be awarded a Math and Science Day Champion Scholarship for Cowley College.

Win a Scholarship!

The Math and Science Day Champion Scholarship is for full-time enrolled students and covers tuition and books up to 18 credit hours.

  • Maintain full-time status and a minimum 2.5 GPA in consecutive semesters.
  • Student needs to be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours of face-to-face instruction per semester.
  • Must have a Math and Science Day event first-place finish.
  • Must live on-campus, unless living locally with a parent/guardian.

Breakout

  • Combining the thrill of an escape room with academic puzzles, teams race against time to crack codes and solve clues.
  • Each year’s theme brings new surprises and challenges.
  • Maximum of 4 people per group.
  • Up to 8 groups can compete.

Ping Pong Launcher

Ping Pong Launcher

  • Competitors design and build their own launcher ahead of time, then face off to see whose design can score the most points.
  • Launcher must be built before the event.
  • Maximum 2 people per group.
  • Unlimited groups can compete.

Puzzle Fest

  • Solo participants take on brain-bending puzzles that challenge their logic, focus, and speed.
  • Individual event.

Write It – Build It

  • One teammate describes a science-themed sculpture, while others rebuild it using only those verbal instructions — testing precision, communication, and teamwork.
